While Warner Bros. is at swapping studio executives,a new team are looking at a range of choice such as The Dirty Dozen," "Oh God," "Tarzan," "Westworld" and "The Wild Bunch." There is also now a plan to reboot the "Lethal Weapon" franchise, with talent agents pitching their clients to direct the film.

And also Deadline is reporting that Will Beall has already been hired to write the script for the reboot, which was pitched as a hard-R, edgy, street cop movie.

Last we heard about a new lethal weapon was shane black who revaled screenplay had been done and was trying to get the main actors back together one last tome while danny glover remained optimistic mel gibson has turned down the chance of ever playing him. Also its even more likely due to the racist rants that have been leaked to the public eye and has since then dropped by his agency and even had his cameo as a tattoo artist dropped. So what do you guys think you want a sequel or a fresh new take on the films as desribed as a"hard-R edgy cop film"
your thats on them and pls comment.

Why can't some film franchises just end without being remade or rebooted?

It was also just reported that Thor and Green Lantern are going to be rebooted.......

Why can't hollywood just leave good movies alone...LW is STILL a good movie by todays standards...I can understand movies that are like 40 years old and nobody knows about them anymore, but come one! LW4 was just out like what ten years ago? I could even understand if the movies were big flops (sorry ang lee), but good movies that aren't that old!? why!!!!????

If they could do something with the character of Butters from LW4 and continue from there it might be ok. Persoanlly a reboot of this franchise isn't needed. If Glover wants to come back this is a way to get him involved sine Chris Rock plays his son-in-law. It would be an interesting film, but I doubt they'd go this way.
