MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Story Expanding Or Changing????

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Story Expanding Or Changing????

Tom Hardy recently told reports at the LFF of his new film Locke, that he's off to shoot more Mad Max. But it's not re-shoots, he's filming new material for the George Miller-directed film.

"[Mad Max's] great. It's a big piece. I'm off out there next week to do some re-shoots - well, not re-shoots actually, we're doing more. Building - building more Mad Max, there's even more spectacular."

In the video above, Hardy also efficiently shuts down any James Bond talk before the interviewer can really even begin to ask him about replacing Daniel Craig. On the Mad Max news, we do have a previous report that says studio execs loved an early, rough cut of the film and that they decided to give George Miller more money to reshoot a few action scenes. Hardy's words seemingly make that earlier report true, so does that mean the portion of that same report that says Hardy reuses his Bane voice in Mad Max is also true?

Tom Hardy Mad Max

“Mad Max: Fury Road”–the fourth in the franchise’s history–stars Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) in the title role of Max Rockatansky, alongside Oscar(R) winner Charlize Theron (“Monster”, “Prometheus”) as Imperator Furiosa. According to director George Miller, “Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.”

“Mad Max: Fury Road” also stars Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: First Class”) as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne (“Mad Max,” “Sleeping Beauty”) as Immortan Joe; and Nathan Jones (“Conan the Barbarian”) as Rictus Erectus. Collectively known as The Wives, Zoe Kravitz (“X-Men: First Class”) plays Toast, Riley Keough (“Magic Mike”) is Capable, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”) is Splendid. They are joined by supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw as The Dag and Courtney Eaton as Fragile, both of whom are making their big screen debuts. Also featured in the movie are Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, and singer/songwriter/performer iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior.

this is kind of old news. George Miller didn't have enough money to do what he really wanted, but after seeing the first cut of the film executives gave him more money to do it. They are expanding on the story and adding more action. I can;t freaking wait for this movie! The Road Warrior is my second favorite film of all time.

Is it just me or does he not look very comfortable when being interviewed. Seems very awkward and looking away a lot.

Ages ago I read that the powers were not happy and sent some exec to the set to supervise it's production?

Orgasmicslug: i read somewhere that he don´t want to screw up with the avid fans by saying something wrong.

It was like this in "Star Trek:Nemesis" and "Dark Knight Rises"

Give Mel Gibson a cameo, and make Hardy his son.

That Bane voice thing is really odd...I had to make sure I read it right in the original report. I doubt it's true..can you imagine?

It's taken George Miller over 10 years to make this film.
Just imagine the difficulty this guy would've had trying to bring the whole JLA to life in a film.

A George Miller JLA film would've been possibly just as bad as the JLA TV pilot.
But...after Iron Man 3 did 1.2 billion all assertions that bad superhero films flop go out the window.

That's a good sign they liked the rough cut of the film.

With that money he is going to shoot more actions scenes.

I'm hoping they are actions scenes involving more vehicular combat. More vehicular combat is always welcome.

I can't wait for this!
