Megan Fox (Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) has dropped off the radar somewhat of late, but she has a couple of new projects in the pipeline, one of which will see her team-up with Bruce Willis (Die Hard, Looper) for a serial killer thriller called Midnight in the Switchgrass.

Lionsgate has now released a new red band trailer for the movie, which finds FBI agents Helter (Willis) and Lombardo (Fox) looking into a string of unsolved murders. When a sting operation goes terribly wrong, Lombardo goes undercover in an attempt to catch the killer and winds up being taken prisoner.

The trailer has come in for quite a bit of stick online, but we don't think it looks that bad. Check it out below and let us know what you make of it in the comments.

“While in Florida on another case, FBI agents Helter (Willis) and Lombardo (Fox) cross paths with state cop Crawford (Hirsch), who’s investigating a string of female murders that appear to be related. Lombardo and Crawford team up for an undercover sting, but it goes horribly wrong, plunging Lombardo into grave danger and pitting Crawford against a serial killer in a twisted game of cat and mouse.”

Directed by Alan Horsnail, Midnight in the Switchgrass also stars Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild), Jackie Cruz (Orange is the New Black), Michael Beach (If Beale Street Could Talk), Lukas Haas (Inception), and Machine Gun Kelly.

The movie is set for release in select theaters, on Apple TV+ and everywhere you can rent movies on July 23. It will also be available to purchase on Blu-ray and DVD on July 27.

@RageDriver2401 - Bruce Willis is in it, so terrible is a given.

The dude is one of the laziest actors out there and has been doing nothing but straight to video (or whatever it's called nowadays) for over a decade.

Neither one has ahd a role worth writing home to Ma about in well over 5 years, so I'm sure this is top notch entertainment right here.

Lionsgate produced this? Why does it look like a YouTube microbudget fan-film!

This looks atrocious. I remember back when Willis was dropped from Expendables 3 for wanting a higher paycheck… I wonder what he gets these days with all his B-movies 😂

Maybe it's my age, but I can't watch scenes with women getting treated like this anymore. It was always tough to begin with, but I guess movies don't mean as much to me anymore to make seeing these scenes worth the time.

Maybe they make great date movies; I don't know.

Bruce, if you don’t want to do this anymore, it’s perfectly okay to retire. I think his last good movie was either Looper or Moonrise Kingdom. Both a long time ago

@MrDandy - me before trailer: can this be the movie where Bruce Willis finally cares about his role?

"Can They Stop A Serial Killer Who Can't Stop Himself?"

Um, not being able to stop oneself from killing is exactly what a serial killer is.

#rhetoricalquestion
Origame
Origame - 6/12/2021, 8:34 AM
@tylerzero - can you stop a serial killer who can't stop trying to kill, but also can't kill himself because he can't stop someone from living?
Skestra
Skestra - 6/12/2021, 9:19 AM
@Origame - And can a serial killer stop killing those he has already killed?
Origame
Origame - 6/12/2021, 9:22 AM
@Skestra - but what about stopping the killers of serial killers, in an attempt to stop them from killing other serial killers?

@Origame - "If you kill a killer... the number of killers in the world remains the same." - Batman 😁
Origame
Origame - 6/12/2021, 10:32 AM
@Feralwookiee - wait, no. Batman is full of s#%$. What if you're already a killer and you kill a killer. There were 2 killers, and now there's one.
Feralwookiee
Feralwookiee - 6/12/2021, 5:07 PM
@Origame - lol
I believe it's implied you're not a killer until you kill the killer.
Origame
Origame - 6/12/2021, 5:14 PM
@Feralwookiee - so as long as I don't kill specifically a killer I can kill whoever I want and not be a killer? Thanks. Now I know.
Feralwookiee
Feralwookiee - 6/12/2021, 5:59 PM
@Origame - But if you kill someone who isn't a killer, then the number of killers has increased rather than staying the same.
*sad Batman sounds*
Origame
Origame - 6/12/2021, 6:10 PM
@Feralwookiee - but what if I kill 1 person then 2 killers. If you have the 4 of us in the room, that means we start off with 2 killers, I then become a killer by killing that guy, leading to 3 killers, but then I kill the other 2 killers, meaning the total is now 1 killer. Heck, after the first killing as long as I keep killing killers specifically I'm only reducing the number of killers.

@Origame - Shit.
You might have me there.
You're making me do math, and that's never a good thing.

I'm more curious as to how you're meeting all these killers. Is there like a killers Craigslist?
Origame
