It was a lot of fun. Nothing to special plot wise, but I was entertained from start to finish which is becoming more and more rare these days at the movies.

I have no problem with Cruise either. Besides his mental break down in 05 he has been alright. He hasn't made any terrible flicks, which is all you can ask from an actor.

Dragon Tattoo needs more credit, best film I saw all year, Rooney Mara deserves the Oscar for that OUTSTANDING preformance.

Lol @ Sherlock not being #1 in the UK....

I think this movie was awesome. Tom Cruise seems to not have aged a day he looks the same as he did in the 3rd movie. The scene when Ethan climbed the building was intense.

My girlfriend and I were both disappointed in it. Very mundane after the beginning and no real surprises. Too many similarities to the original for my taste including Renner's suspension scenes to Cruise's suspension scene in the first. It just didn't seem overly new and creative to me.

"He hasn't made any terrible flicks, which is all you can ask from an actor."

Knight and Day and Lion for Lambs weren't terrible flicks?

I hope there's at least one more M:I movie produced by Bad Robot to complete a trilogy. I marginally liked the first movie, hated the second, but thought the series hit its stride with M:I 3. It's sort of the reverse of my opinion of the ALIEN series, where I'd rather forget the last two entries.

ckal@ It was okay, but neither of us were "wowed" like most of the people posting seem to have been. It just seemed all to familiar to both of us. Tom Cruise just is one of those people that annoys me and that doesn't help. To each their own.

@ckal good point hollywood should make movies like this. As in just raw entertainment, everything doesn't have to be a deep sob story.
