Digital Spy reports that Brad Bird's Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol has shot straight to the top of the UK box office, while The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo opened strong and Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows continued to perform admirably. In circumstances similar to its US release, Ghost Protocol was previewed early in select IMAX theatres from December 21st onwards before being released nationwide on the 26th.
