In a little over a year from now, Chris McQuarrie's
Mission Impossible film will land in theaters, and when it does you'll see
Ethan Hunt clinging to the side of a
Airbus A400M as the vehicle soars to
5,000 feet. Maybe that in and of itself doesn't sound all that exciting, but what if I told you 52-year-old
Tom Cruise performed that stunt all by himself - no stuntmen. Yup, that's pretty darn impressive ... and dangerous. Cruise was recently spotted wearing two safety harnesses as he was filmed clinging to the door of the plane as it flew above the English countryside.
The Daily Mail have some terrific close-up shots of Cruise performing this dangerous stunt;

For
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol Cruise climbed and ran down the side of the
world's tallest building (Burj Khalifa). Remember that
free-climbing (Dead Horse Point) stunt in John Woo's
Mission Impossible 2? Yup, that was all Cruise. He even performed those death-defying motorcycle stunts in James Mangold's
Knight And Day. Which stunt do you think was his most dangeous one?
Mission Impossible 5 - Chris McQuarrie is directing and the cast includes:Tom Cruise ("Edge of Tomorrow"), Simon Pegg ("Stark Trek Into Darkness"), Jeremy Renner ("Avengers: Age of Ultron"), Ving Rhames ("Pulp Fiction"), Alec Baldwin ("Hunt for Red October") and
Rebecca Ferguson ("The White Queen").
It will be released December 25th, 2015.
