New DUNKIRK Trailer Teases A Tense WWII Action Epic From THE DARK KNIGHT Director Christopher Nolan

Following a round of brief teasers, the second full trailer for Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk has now been released online. The Dark Knight trilogy director's latest film is a World War II epic which deals with the miraculous evacuation of Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France, who were cut off and surrounded by the German army from the beaches and harbor of Dunkirk.

The movie stars Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, and Cillian Murphy, and if this footage is anything to go by, we are in for an intensely exiting adventure this summer.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Dunkirk will be released in the UK and the US on the 21st of July, 2017.

@AngryBillCipher - Call of Duty is going back to WWII as well. It's strange to see the sudden shift to WWII again.

@SonOfAGif - Well, with Wonder Women, Battlefield 1, and the PBS documentary, The Great War, you could also say there's been a shift to World War I; as well.

@DevarikaWoulf - yeah, the 90's and 2000's was full of WW2 stuff. The shift to WW1 is coinciding with the 100 year anniversary.

@SonOfAGif - They are only doing that because they have run out of ideas.

Can't wait for this. Interstellar had its issues but was still a very unique and good movie. Any Nolan film is an event.

@The72nd - Yes, Interstellar was amazing. Saw it in IMAX with my little brother. You should've seen the little guy's face when they entered the worm hole. I felt like such a good big brother that night lol

this looks great!

A character-driven ww2 epic! This could be really good!

This looks visually incredible.

Especially the dogfights!

But Mr Nolan's films are always masterpieces. This will probably be no different.

@Doomsday8888 - Same with me.
Nolan's my favorite director and I'll probably love this, but the trailers havent been nearly as hype as his trailers for TDK trilogy, Inception, and Interstellar.
