Deadline report that Paula Patton is in talks to star with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in 2 Guns, which is based on a Steven Grant graphic novel published by Boom! Studios.

Apparently Patton, who did a great job as the female lead in Brad Bird's Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, will be playing Washington's love interest in the movie. 2 Guns is being helmed by Baltasar Kormakur, who just directed Wahlberg in Contraband. The script was written by Blake Masters. You can check out a synopsis for the comic below.

A pulp story about cops and thieves and the men that are something in between. Trench has targeted a local bank to rob, and asked Steadman in on the job. Trench figures it's a great way to score -- considering it's a cover for mob money. They'll be thieves ripping off thieves. But what Steadman doesn't know is that Trench is a DEA agent. And what Trench doesn't know is that Steadman's a Naval Intelligence officer. They're both cops! And neither one knows that they're not robbing the mob, they've been set up to steal $50 million from the CIA! A light-hearted crime romp in the vein of Ocean's Thirteen and The Italian Job from comics legend, Steven Grant!

My ol lady has given me a Hall Pass if Paula Patton is ever around. All I need is about 3 1/2 minutes. Maybe even 4. She'll be ready to marry me!

Sounds interesting.

Based on that comic cover i could see Brad Pitt and Mark Wahlberg in the leading roles.
Pitt playing that blond dude (who i assume is Trench) and Wahlberg playing the other guy (Steadman).

But Denzel and Marky are cool team too. :)

Not breaking news here, but Paula Patton is very beautiful.

I thought she did a great job in MI: Ghost Protocol. I loved her character.

With this cast, the movie has a lot of potential.

finally, after being denied the first time in Deja Vu, my man Denzel's gonna tap dat sweet Paula's a$$ on da big screen. other than caucasians, other actors rarely got the chance of doing a love scene in movies, unless the movie's ABOUT that.
