Lionsgate has released a new trailer for their upcoming actioner, Robin Hood, which stars Taron Egerton as the Prince of Thieves, Jamie Foxx as Little John, and Ben Mendelsohn as the Sheriff of Nottingham!

Ahead of its theatrical debut next month, Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment have released the official final trailer for Robin Hood, featuring an action-packed new look at the upcoming reboot.

The Otto Bathurst-directed film stars Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Golden Circle) as the Prince of Thieves with a supporting cast that features Jamie Foxx (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Eve Hewson (The Knick), Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), Tim Minchin (Californication), and Ben Mendelsohn (Ready Player One). 


Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.

I don't think this will be good, but it's hard for me to point out what exactly feels wrong about it. Tonally, it's pretty much what I'd want out of a Robin Hood movie (remind me a bit of Mask of Zorro) although the script could be a bit sharper. I think it also feels a bit hollow. They're not really attempting to sell us on the character, his mission, drive, emotional arc, etc. Likely because that element of it is underwritten. On the whole, it comes off kind of generic and uninspired.

.. much as had been said about predator, how many times are they going to remake this one..(and "Halloween")?? Can not Hollywood come up with something original and no more transformer or Jurassic park sequels? Please?

It will probably get bad reviews and flop at the box office, but I don't care. I like what I've seen so far and definitely going to watch it

It looks like a stupid fun time! Just like King Arthur last year, a good movie to watch at home with the family. Seeing Eve Hewson makes me miss The Knick, that show was great.
Chuckled at how easily Lady Marian figured out his identity.
