ROBOCOP Gets A Release Date

Joel Kinnaman, best know for starring in The Killing, has already been confirmed to play the role of Officer Alex J. Murphy in the Jose Padhila directed reboot of RoboCop and Sony Pictures has now set a release date for the movie. When will you be able to see it? August 9th, 2013. It was announced earlier this week that Sony will distribute the movie for MGM. Strike Entertainment's Eric Newman and Marc Abraham are producing with a script from Josh Zetumer.

im a HUGE FAN of the original robocop was my fav movie as a kid & i was born in 91 the first one was a classic the others didnt fell as genuine.
Im all for a Remake as long its done right & i hope they dont make really futuristic

Yah, if they're making this a summer release, that's a good sign.

I hope this reboot does Robocop justice.

@Superbatlantern85 teabag has the Teacave. Think the Batcave, but instead of supercomputers being used to monitor crime. He uses supercomputers for the purpose of finding pictures of hot girls. :P

That one murphy shootdown scene early in Robocop did traumatize me as a kid though, i still wake up in a cold sweat to this day.. or maybe thats somebody dumping ice water on me for running late for work again... Dammit mom, they're gonna think I pissed my pants
