Both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman were absent from the first ever San Diego Comic-Con Sherlock panel, but that didn't stop enthusiastic fans from lining up since 4am this morning in order to guarantee themselves a place in the sure to be packed out auditorium. It was revealed there that both actors are optioned for a fourth season, but creator Steven Moffat and producers Sue Vertue and Mark Gatiss remained coy when asked about the possibility of taking Sherlock to the big screen.
