ENOLA HOLMES Sequel Rounds Out Cast With Helena Bonham Carter, David Thewlis, Louis Partridge, & Seven More

With production nearly underway, Netflix has announced the full cast for their Enola Holmes sequel, which will see Millie Bobby Brown back in the title role alongside Henry Cavill as her brother Sherlock.

Variety has revealed today that 2x Academy Award-nominee Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeney ToddFight Club) will reprise her role as the Holmes matriarch Eudoria in Netflix and Legendary's upcoming Enola Holmes sequel, which will also see the return of Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things; Godzilla vs. Kong) as the title character and Henry Cavill (Mission: Impossible - Fallout; Man of Steel) as her older brother Sherlock.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like Sam Claflin (Me Before YouThe Hunger Games: Catching Fire) will be back as Mycroft, but the Holmes trio will be rejoined by a few familiar faces including Louis Partridge (Pistol; Medici) as Tewksbury, Susan Wokoma (Truth Seekers; Crazyhead) as Edith, and Adeel Akhtar (Killing EveThe Big Sick) as Lestrade.

Newcomers to the supporting cast include David Thewlis (Harry PotterWonder Woman), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story; Dune), Hannah Dodd (Fighting with My Family; Pandora), Abbie Hern (The Pact; The Twilight Zone), Gabriel Tierney (Endeavour), and Serrana Su-Ling Bliss.

2x Primetime Emmy and BAFTA-winner Harry Bradbeer (FleabagKilling Eve) will return to direct with a screenplay from BAFTA and Tony Award-winning writer Jack Thorne (The AeronautsWonder).

Production is set to begin fairly soon in London, so we should likely expect a late 2022 release.

The first film was a runaway success for the streamer, garnering approximately 76 million viewers within the first 28 days of release, so hopes are certainly high for the follow-up.
