Gareth Evans directed one of the segments in V/H/S 2 which is why he was at last night's screening of the film at Frightfest, but he surprised audience members by bringing a clip from The Raid 2: Berandal. The clipped featured the aptly named Hammer Girl according to Twitch.

The clip we saw is from an action scene on a moving subway car: Hammer Girl against a bunch of guys in suits. The clip was only a few minutes long, but it was enough to see that not only have Evans and his crew maintained the freshness and brilliance of the first film, finding new and inventive ways to present action and martial arts, but they've gone above and beyond by exploring new spaces and (obviously) new characters.

Evans confirmed that the sequel picks up a mere two hours after the end of the first film but will span a total of four years. Based on this report, if you were surprised and thrilled by The Raid, expect more of the same in The Raid 2: Berandal.
