Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce has already been brought on board to pen the screenplay, and now rumoured directing candidate Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher) has seemingly confirmed that he will indeed helm Mission Impossible 5. Check it out! Now confirmed by Tom Cruise!
Earlier this year it was revealed that Tom Cruise had closed a deal with Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions to star in a fifth instalment of Mission Impossible. At the time, Jack Reacher writer and director Christopher McQuarrie was said to be in talks to helm the movie, although this was never confirmed (despite the fact that it was later reported that Drew Pearce had been brought onboard to write the movie. Well, the following Tweet seems to confirm that McQuarrie has accepted the job and will indeed direct Cruise in another instalment of the popular franchise. If this is the case, expect an official announcement to follow shortly. What do you think?
