Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.

Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.

The world premiere of Brave will be held on June 18th at the grand opening of the new Dolby Theatre in LA.

@AmazingHipsterMan

YOU ARE A COMIC BOOK FAN.

Kid fest? This site is devoted to COMIC BOOK LOVERS. Doesn't get more kiddy than that.

Plus you defend that horrible Lizard design in TASM. You have no say in anything.

Pixar makes films for ALL ages. There is nothing kid fest about ANY of Pixars films besides Cars 2.

How the hell do you know how he feels towards the comics. And Chris Nolan has the utmost respect for Batman comics, calling them the great story, and calling them way above anything he could interpret.

LOL Yeah and don't directly take from a 1960S OBVIOUS PROTOTYPE and make that the film version. Bane doesn't have a standard look, if you bother to read through his man protrayals, ALL have been different. Also, the comics design sucks for Bane whereas the LATER comics design for Lizard is freaking badass. Nolan has the valid reason of giving Tom Hardy room to act. Ifans HAS HIS HUMAN SIDE TO ACT, So what [frick]ing reason is there for them to give us this shitty lizard.

Theres a reason it was done in the 60s. You tell me why it was updated. Go ahead and answer the [frick]ing question? IT WAS A PROTOTYPE DESIGN that sucked ass. It was updated into the badass monster for a reason. Why? because the old design is laughably horrible.

I never said the Lizard design wasn't in the comics back in the dinosaur age, I said it sucked ass and it does suck ass.

Bane acts, think, and yes LOOKS like Bane. A bulky figure with the smarts.

Now Lizard looks NOTHING like awesome badass monster Lizard. None of this humanity shit, they [frick]ed up Lizard.

Everyone hates you, Lizard sucks balls in TASM

I can't say that I'm a fan of the Ditko design either, but until I see the movie I'm going to reserve judgement on how well it suits the direction that they are taking Dr Connors in.

Wow. Only on CBM can two clips from a Pixar movie end in an ASM debate. Love it.

Ridicule and apathy towards a Pixar feature demonstrates an elitism that is filmically illiterate.
