From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes "Big Hero 6," an action comedy adventure about brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the CG-animated "Big Hero 6" hits theaters in 3D on November 7, 2014.

Guys, hands up if you actually care about this movie, nah, didn't think so.
Well, Marvel needs to make a Power Pack movie, I mean... Why not?

What is that, a female Green Goblin and a kid Ultron in purple?

I do wish they made a Power Pack movie first though!

So with this push to engage the Asian markets, wouldn't Sunspot showing up, front and center in DOFP make sense? Really, I'm just asking.

@KrazyForKomix Sunspot is Brazillian, I think you mean Sunfire and they chose to include Fan Bingbing, a very famous Chinese actress as Blink.

Yes, yes. Brainfart. Sunfire is what I meant.
Fan Bingbing makes sense.
Still, for a while Sunfire was THE national hero (in comics) in Japan. Using a character of such national prominence would definitely have mass (Asian) appeal WITHOUT offending comic purists.

interesting choice.

@KrazyForKomix I agree, I would've preferred to have seen Sunfire instead of Sunspot :/ maybe in future movies!

It's the perfect property for them to take and do their own thing with it... Anything more popular would result in fans throwing tantrums when the filmmakers changed things.

@JorEllinator Disney Animation Studios + Marvel = A lot of potential.

Also, the team is pretty much an Asian approach to The Avengers. That's very cool and interesting if you think about it.

Is Big Hero 6 canon in the Marvel Universe? If so, is this movie set in the cinematic universe?
