While the Big Hero 6 characters have their roots in the Marvel Universe, Disney Animation has completely reinvented the property and created one of its most successful franchises.

Baymax! launches on Disney+ tomorrow, June 29, and takes us back to the fantastical city of San Fransokyo where the affable, inflatable, inimitable healthcare companion, Baymax (Scott Adsit), sets out to do what he was programmed for: help others. We've seen all six episodes and can tell you that they're an absolute joy, showing a new side to a hero who has become iconic.

During our interview to discuss his return as Baymax, we asked Scott whether he hopes to lend his voice to the character should he finally get the chance to enter the live-action realm by joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For many fans, that's long overdue, and if nothing else, the Multiverse makes it more possible now than ever before.

"Tell me about it," the actor says in the video above when we mentioned the demand from fans. "And yes, write a letter! Please, Josh. Write a letter. Of course, are you kidding? I would love to see Baymax teaming up with the new Captain America or The Vision. Two robots going out there and getting the job done. That would be fantastic, obviously."

"If they’re open to it, I’m open to it," Adsit concluded.

When Disney acquired Marvel, the hope among fans was that we might see Pixar or Disney Animation put their spin on characters from the MCU. Outside of Big Hero 6, which only has tentative links to the Marvel Universe to begin with, that hasn't happened, and Marvel Studios is now developing its own slate of animated projects for Disney+.

We remain optimistic that Baymax could appear in the MCU at some point, and it's good to know that Adsit is open to the possibility of bringing him to life alongside other iconic superheroes.

Baymax! premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 29!
