CARS 3: Lightning McQueen Winds Up The Clock Again In A New Teaser Trailer

Cars 3 really took the world by storm a few months back with the debut of its first teaser trailer, which was a considerable departure from what we'd seen from the previous two installments. While, it didn't exactly paint a pretty picture for Lightning McQueen, this latest trailer should put fans to ease as we see the Owen Wilson-voiced racecar return better-than-ever.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it will see McQueen face-off with a new rival in the form of Jackson Storm, voiced by Armie Hammer, who will push Lightning further than he's ever gone before.

Check out the latest trailer below:

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician with her own plan to win, inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn't through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!

*yawn* Cars had it's reign. Just wake me up when Incredibles 2 comes out.

@KWilly - Awesome, but a few things bug me. Violet has kind of a dude's jaw. Dash's homage to Frozone is off-putting, and they should each have their own logos on their chests.

The first CARS was not one of Pixar's finest, but it was a charming, beautifully rendered love letter to Route 66.

CARS 2 was a miscalculation -- so different in tone and plot from the first movie that you can barely consider them part of the same storyline. Watched it once and had no desire to ever see it again.

I hope CARS 3 takes us back to basics.

It's so weird after the extremely kid oriented Cars 2 that they are now making a "gritty" Cars 3 with The Wrestler aspirations.

Also who wants to bet Pixar gets sh*t on for making the electric car the bad guy and the gasoline chugging V8 the good guy when this comes out ?
