The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds - or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We're the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it's up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

I think a lot of people are ignoring the dark undertones of this trailer.

You see, these birds are happy little creatures living in their homes, despite being referred to as "angry." Yes, they may be upset about the harsh realities of life, but this is their home, their lifestyle, their family. It's all they've ever known. Then the pigs show up, and they take everything that the birds have ever loved. They invade their country in an attack on the scale of Pearl Harbor, killing hundreds, THOUSANDS, of baby birds. These pigs represent the pigs in our world that slaughter children and tear families apart for their greedy war-driven needs.

I found that very funny. Especially the last part. I'll definitely be watching it. It's got to be better than Minions with that sort of humour in it.
