EMH of course! And just to be fair I prefer Justice League/Justice League Unlimited over Young Justice.

Here's my reasoning: Avengers EMH's animation is just a bit too cartoon-looking to me, much like Batman: Brave and the Bold was. I feel that the character designs and animation in Young Justice just looks better and seems much higher quality.

As far as storylines/plot lines go, I think that Avengers EMH tries to appeal to the comic book fans with stories based in that Marvel continuity, which is great! Young Justice takes a couple of liberties by making take place in a different universe than the normal comic book continuity. For example, the chronology of the series is off from how it is in the comics. Superboy is supposed to be Tim Drake's and Bart Allen's age, NOT Dick Grayson and Wally West's age.

But overall, I think that the Young Justice storylines, dealing with waring politics of foreign countries, covert stealth missions, and deep mysterious conspiracies makes for better, more interesting stories than what we get in EMH.

I honestly have to give it to Young Justice on this one.

I'm surprised that people continue to say that EMH has better writing, when compared to YJ.

EMH is a show written for young children. The stories are very simple and for the majority of every episode the team is fighting either among each other or against an enemy.

Young Justice, by far. The Avengers are a more recognizable team and the show is cute, but YJ has better art and has consistently handled their plots with far more subtlety.

EMH has a strong tendency to get cluttered, plotwise. The showrunners are more eager to please than the little brother at a teenager party, and so every single episode has to have some massive conflict and "big reveal". The trouble is that when you do that every week, your audience eventually grows indifferent to it. YJ has done a good job of spacing out the "BIG" episodes with more focused, character-driven episodes. YJ also has developed generally better dialogue.

We have to keep in mind, I suppose, that these shows are meant for different audiences. YJ is targeting the 10-14 group, while EMH is probably the 8-12 group. Naturally, Young Justice is going to be a little more "adult". That doesn't make it better, necessarily, just a little more cerebral for those who can handle it (i.e. the vast majority of people on this site).

@Marvel72 I completely agree with you on that.. While I am a fan of both shows, Young Justice's characters are pretty corny if you ask me.. Their names alone are unforgivable.. Who wants to see Robin, Superboy, Kid Flash, Aqualad & Miss Martian instead of the real JLA? Especially when they are all basically younger & less powerful counterparts.. I mean Robin is the most original character, in name and abilities, on the entire team.. I wouldn't want to see Captain America Jr., Iron Boy, Kid Hulk, Baby Thor & Ant-Lad.. Just give us a JLA show instead.. Regardless of the cheesy-ness of the characters it is actually a very good show but when compared to the originals it just isn't the same and not my personal preference.. Also one thing I think EMH has that YJ doesnt is a great interaction between the characters on the team.. They feel more like a team than the Young Justice squad..

I watch both of them and IMO there bot very well done. The stories are strong, the voice overs are on spot, and the character development moves along nicely. So I give them both a 4 out of 5. There is always room for improvement.

As of now, the tally is 6 votes for Avengers EMH, 4 votes for Young Justice.

@HulkBusterNYC, in response to your comments about some of the cheesier aspects of the characters on Young Justice: I agree that the names are a bit corney, like Kid Flash, Superboy, Aqualad, etc... It would be great if they could get some cooler code names. However, one thing that I don't agree with you on is the aspect of the power levels.

One of the biggest complaints that has been around since the Justice League of America was formed back in the 40's was that they're TOO powerful and that it is often times hard to come up with real, credible threats that create a challenge for the League. By having these younger heroes, with powers that have not matured and evolved to their mentors' levels, make them a bit more relatble while also creating harder challenges for them. Where Superman can easily fly at the speed of light and melt armies of tanks with his eyes and lift an island, Superboy has limits that actually makes sense for him to need backup.

I still say that Young Justice is a better show as it is more targeted to a more mature audience and operates more as a tv series and less as a cartoon. But, EMH is a great show! It's action packed and gives a lot of great attention to the Avengers, which is finally getting the attention they deserve.

@HulkbusterNYC-Without younger characters with "unforgivable" names, like Robin, Kidflash, and Aqualad, we wouldn't have characters like Spiderman and Bucky Barnes.

You Marvel fans make me sick. Accept that DC has the advantage when it comes to making great cartoons. YJ has way better character development and intense story lines that get better each episode.

@Action Amen, man. I'm sorry, but while Avengers EMH is watchable, I just really don't think it's anywhere close to what Young Justice is. It's like I said before, EMH is like Batman Brave and the Bold... It's made for kids between the ages of 5-12. YJ is made for adults and is more like the DC Universe Animated Original Movies. It's just better quality with better stories

It's A bit of a draw for me. Avengers is a great show with story arcs and characters being one of the most watchable shows today.( Need proof? I have the entire first season crammed to my phone.) But the approach marvel has taken with Avengers seems to me that they are trying to grab younger audiences into comics. A good business strategy but not really something I would support as a fan. Animation isnt all that great but isnt bad or too bad. Voice acting is great too though Iron man's leaned a bit toward bad in a couple. I also like how they incorporate story arcs with each other. I would give it an 9/10.

Moving onto YJ. I beginning to speculate that DC is leaning toward older readers and viewers with this show. The implied sexual innuendo and amoral actions presented by the villains is kind of disturbingly awesome. A mature and well thought out storyline is presented and well executed too. With above par animation and designs. Love the overarching stories and the characterizations of each character. The only problem really bugging me is a bit more on being bit Nit picky. I HATE The following revisions of the following characters: Icicle Sr., Mr Freeze, The Riddler, the joker, Dr Fate, and Klarion. Icicle Sr is a major deviation from the scientist i like, Mr freeze is at best a one note villain, The riddler is a south western hillbilly that looks like the jim carrey riddler who I hate, The Joker is just [ PROFANITY ALERT ], Klarion is actually pretty good character if he didnt have the Friking goth nails. So Thats my two cents, And I give it a 9/10.

A SHOUT OUT TO THE MARVEL V.S. DC CROWD: Just shut it. Stop arguing about how DC sucks or how Marvel sucks. It just isnt worth any energy. With such shallow arguments like "Captain America's Helmet sucks so Whedon Sucks" or "Wah, Nolan's bane is an insult to bane. So stop sucking nolan's dick", It's kinda dissapointing to see that people still argue like seven year olds. Everyone's got biases and tastes so stop discriminating people just because they think differently from you. It's entirely pointless and stupid. And to boycott movies just because they didnt have every micron of what you wanted right is just plain immature. Why dont you just go enjoy the movie when it's out instead of sitting in front a computer dedicating his life on some pointless flame war.
