Next month, Disney Channel will air the crossover special Phineas And Ferb: Mission Marvel, in which the two titular characters team up with iconic Marvel characters such as Iron Man and Spider-Man. Now, the two will journey to a galaxy far, far away. At San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Phineas And Ferb will air a special one hour episode which sees the animated series mashed up with Star Wars in 2014 on Disney XD and Disney Channel. The space saga is Disney's most recent acquisition, and has already done a heavy job marketing it (with a new animated series, Rebels, also coming next year). "May the Ferb Be With You and with all of us for decades have dreamt of a chance to work with the great characters and stories of Star Wars," says executive producer Dan Povenmire. The voice cast consists of Vincent Martella, Ashley Tisdale, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Caroline Rhea, Richard O'Brien, Dee Bradley Baker, Alyson Stoner, Maulik Pancholy, Bobby Gaylor, Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh. You can check out a plot summary of this episode below. What do you think?

The episode takes place a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away in the summer. Phineas and Ferb are living on Tatooine but find themselves thrown into a global rebellion when the plans for blowing up the Death Star accidentally fall into their hands. They are forced to search for a pilot to take them to the rebels so they can hand over the plans, but Candace chases the two with hopes of retrieving the plans.

On the Death Star, Darth Enshmirtz, a low-level Darth, has created a Force-powered "Sith-inator" that he plans to use against the Rebel Alliance. Agent P, working undercover for the Rebellion, is dispatched to stop him but gets trapped in carbonite. Things take a startling turn when Ferb is accidentally hit by the full blast of Darth Enshmirtz's "inator" and becomes an evil Sith.

The Muppets probably should be next. There were so many Star Wars scenes in the Muppet Babies cartoon (very good show IMO). I'm a fan of most the Phin/Ferb stuff.

A couple years ago Phin/Verb were all over ABC's coverage of the Little league World Series. They remade the show's theme song and everything. Bit was very well done.
