The LEGO Batman Movie was another smash-hit for Warner Bros., and the studio will be hoping their second The LEGO Movie spinoff, The LEGO Ninjago Movie (that's a lot of LEGO), follows suit.

The animted adventure features Jackie Chan as Master Wu, who assembles a team that includes Kai (Michael Pena), Nya (Abbi Jacobson), Jay (Kumail Nanjiani), Zane (Zach Woods), Cole (Fred Armisen) and Lloyd (Dave Franco) to take on the villainous Lord Garmadon (Justin Theroux).

It remains to be seen if this lesser known property does as well as its predecessors, but the new SDCC trailer is certainly a lot of fun.

Check that out below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think in the usual place.

It might be because I don't know this universe, but I just don't see why this is getting a movie. Because if Batman can get a Lego movie, why not do one for Superman or Flash instead of this?

When you have Lego sets for Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Mission Impossible, or the Goonies I'm not sure how they settle on this one?

I can see the rights being an issue, but at the same why not work with Lego to bring out another Lego universe instead?

If the Lego Batman didn't do very well, imagine this one.

A lego movie with Batman and high critical praise grossed less than The Lego Movie. This may be a dud at the BO.

@SmilingTRex - It had a small budget, so it wasn't a flop.

@SlowKnife - It didn't flop but it should have performed better.
