I watched the first few episodes of the Japanese version and thought the story moved at a better pace.I liked how they quickly summed up the Dragon Ball series in about 6 minutes. The new series is very condensed and gets rid of the filler and unnecessary parts, which is alot. For instance, Planet Namek explodes in episode 106 in DBZ, but it happens in episode 50 of Kai.

Kai has 49 episodes left to air, and they're currently at the destruction of Namek. It will be interesting to see what material from the remaining 184 episodes makes it into Kai.

How many seasons and versions of Dragonball Z are they going to come out with? I like the show ever since I saw the BU saga. Great story. But I can just go and buy the stuff out now. There are so many different versions and so many things I read about, get this one, no don't get that one. Geez, what's a guy to do?
