After setting the internet ablaze with a title announcement earlier this month, Toei Animation has now released the full-length official English trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

The new trailer offers tons of action-packed new footage as the Legendary Super Saiyan squares off against Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza in what looks to be the battle to end all battles, and it really looks like not even the might of Super Saiyan Blue Goku is enough to topple the insane Saiyan. Also, based on the story reveals, it's safe to assume that the previous three films will be wiped out of existence and the upcoming entry will be the new canon moving forward.

Sean Schemmel and Christopher R. Sabat will reprise their iconic roles as Goku and Vegeta while Vic Mignogna will voice Broly. The voice cast is rounded out by Christopher Ayres as Frieza, Monica Rial as Bulma, Sabat as Piccolo, Eric Vale as Trunks, Jason Douglas as Beerus, and Ian Sinclair as Whis.

The film hits theaters in Japan on December 14 and will make its way to American theaters in January 2019.

The trailer looks great. I hope the story is written well. Brody is kinda lame, but I’m still excited for the movie

Eric Vale as Trunks? Why would Future Trunks be back? Interesting.

@BreakTheCode - It could be that present trunks has finally grown several feet taller and his voiced has deepened. At year 780, present trunks should look like a teenager and not a kid at that point. In the future 780, that was when Future Gohan was killed and future trunks had already grown as he was 13/14 years old.

wait, Vegeta can transform into SS God now? well, I guess it makes sense, I found it weird he could get straight to blue without reaching the base God (red) form first.
and I think I like this Broly a bit better than the original.

also, this is totally a pseudo-remake of the original Broly movie.

@Spidey91 - He's turned SSG in the manga many times already

I experience a lot of Broly hate among my DBZ purist friends but I’m hyped for this. I’ve always loved the idea of the character even if his movies have gotten progressively shittier. Redemption time!

@SpideyPuffsMJ - I'm not a Broly fan myself, but I'll give this reboot of the character a chance. Hopefully the re-imagining of Brolly will end up being better than the original.

the animation is pretty good too from what I see. I like this style better, it's got a bit more of a "cinematic" flare to it, the lines are a bit more rough, a bit more loose. the two previous DBZ movies looked fine but they were merely above TV quality in terms of animation.

There are three Broly movies. Bio-Broly was a little questionable, but it still counts.

Broly has to become the new God of Destruction. It can also be the central theme of a new season of Dragon Ball Super.

I just realized Fox is the owner of the distribution rights for Dragon Ball in the west. Disney is buying Fox......WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?! :O

This actually looks epic. So is Broly beerus strong?

@MyCoolYoung - he's probably like a jiren 1.5

@Vigor - so theoretically beerus could step in and beat him?
Vigor
Vigor - 7/21/2018, 5:41 AM
@MyCoolYoung - it appears he grows in strength momentously. So he may start out Jiren strength level and grow to God of destruction by the end. Should be a good challenge for our heroes
