Super Hero Manga Inspires New Anime TV Series GO! GO! LOSER RANGER!

A new TV anime adatptation of the super hero manga by Negi Haruba (well known for The Quintessential Quintuplets) known as Go! Go! Loser Ranger! (known as Sentai Daishikkaku in Japan) is in the works! The series is expected to begin debuting on the 28 TBS Network stations throughout Japan beginning sometime in 2024 - the official premiere date has not been confirmed, so we will keep you updated as new information is released.

Along with the anime's exciting announcement, a new 70-second trailer for the it, featuring the three major voice cast members, has been released on the Go! Go! Loser Ranger! anime's official website.

The newly announced cast members for the anime adaptation include the following (which should include some recognizable names for you big anime fans out there!):

  • Footsoldier D voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi (Subaru Natsuki in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-)
  • Yumeko Suzukiri voiced by Yumika Yano (Vivian Shamall in Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion)
  • Hibiki Sakurama voiced by Daishi Kajita (Yamato in Bikkurimen)

WHO IS THE HERO... AND WHO IS THE VILLAIN?

When the Monster Army invaded Earth thirteen years ago, the Divine Dragon Rangers rose up to stop them! With the war raging on, these great heroes are mankind’s last hope!

...or are they?

In truth, the invaders were subjugated within a year, forced to continue to crank out a monster a week for the Rangers to crush in front of their adoring fans! But one monster has had enough. Something has to change! He’ll rebel against the might of the Dragon Rangers and destroy them all...from the inside!

Director Keiichi Sato (worked on TIGER & BUNNY) collaborates with series composer Keiichiro Ouchi (known for his work on UNDER NINJA). Yostar Pictures, sometimes known as the Arknights, produces anime.

Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine has been serializing Go! Go! Loser Ranger! since February 2021. Over 20 million copies of the series have been printed, and on November 16, the 12th tankobon volume will officially be released in Japan!

For anyone interested, the pitch is basically "what if The Boys, but with Power Rangers/Sentai style superheroes and from the perspective of one of the mooks from the enemy army"
