The Marvel Studios panel in Hall H kicked off with some big casting news as it's been revealed that Batman Returns star Michelle Pfeiffer will be suiting up as Janet Van Dyne in Ant-Man and The Wasp. She's been a popular casting suggestion among fans for a while now but this is a nice surprise and a sign that the character is being taken seriously as Marvel look to add the iconic hero to this world.

That wasn't the only bit of casting new either as we now know that Hannah John-Kamen will play The Ghost, while Walton Goggins has been cast as Sonny Burck, the chairman of Cross Technologies in the comic books. Randall Park was confirmed as Jimmy Woo but perhaps the biggest and best casting announcement came when it was revealed that Man of Steel's Laurence Fishburne is
Dr. Bill Foster!

He's better known as Goliath in the comic books but it remains to be seen whether or not he'll be suiting up here. What do you guys think? As always, share your thoughts on this news down below.

So, Michael Keaton played a DC hero and a Marvel villain, and now Michelle Pfieffer will be doing the exact opposite.

@SonOfAGif - I would love to hear M.O.D.O.K. say that he dropped his wad of hundreds and his magnum condoms for his monster dong.

Isn't The Ghost an Iron Man villain?

@SonOfAGif - Yes, it is, i guess that like they dont have the rights of "Taskmaster" (dont ask me why i either know) "The Ghost" has a cool design and is also a bounty hunter, so they could make "The Ghost" their version of Taskmaster.

I guess Scott, Hank and Hope search the help of Dr. Bill Foster to rescue Janet from the Micro-Verse.

While at the same time, Sonny Burck a chairman from Cross Technologies send "The Ghost" after Hank, Scott and Hope.

@AleSir19 - Marvel got back the rights to Taskmaster

@febday - I dont understand why they dont take inspiration on the best Scott Lang and Ant Man in General Run, "The Astonishing Ant Man" i dont understand why they still neglect this great story.

This Run understand to perfection the character of Scott Lang, the core, the relationship between Scott-Maggie-Cassie, it had such great villains:

-Like Power Broker and his Hench App who can make anyone a supervillain and make anyone who wants to do a crime get a supervillain to do the hard work.

-Or Augustine Cross the stupid son of Darren Cross who uses the Hench App and wants to bring back his father.

I dont even want to start about the classic and really stupid Ant Man villains:

-The Voice, Magician, Hijacker, Whirlwind

Or Ant Man Security Solutions. If Marvel has made a mistake is avoid using this great run in the comics like source for their Ant Man Films.

I just want the Hench App to appear in a movie, is such a stupid and perfect concept for the tone of Ant Man, this regular guy dealing with a [frick]ing App who can make anyone a Supervillain and who can help anyone to commict a supercrime.

@AleSir19 - I agree the app story was cool. In the comics, Scott Lang worked for and with Tony Stark many times.

@AleSir19 - According to the Marvel Wiki it's actually spelled Burch not Burck. Maybe it's a typo in the article or Marvel has done some doctoring

@AleSir19 - marvel do have rights for taskmaster, reynolds talked about how he wanted taskmaster to be deadpool villain fix didn't have rights. Love the fact in comic run that scott Lang sees him as arch nemesis and taskmaster couldn't care less.
