New ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Stills Put The Spotlight On Some Of The Quantum Realm's Secrets

After a brief visit in 2015's Ant-Man, we finally returned to the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and The Wasp. Unfortunately, we didn't spend anywhere near as much time there as we would have liked and Janet Van Dyne's newfound powers remain unexplained. Since the sequel was released, there's also been a lot of discussion about what Kevin Feige meant when he said director Peyton Reed has dropped some significant hints about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in that alternate dimension.

Do these new hi-res stills reveal any of them? I'm not entirely sure but they do provide a fascinating look inside the Quantum Realm and Hank's reunion with Janet after more than thirty years apart.

The level of VFX work which went into bringing this alternate reality to life is nothing short of staggering and these shots are stunning regardless of what they do or don't reveal about what the future holds in store for Ant-Man and The Wasp. *SPOILERS*

So...the plot of the film was to save Janet. But only ends up being ashed 6 minutes later?! 😮 🤷‍♂️ 🤔 👎

That decision garners

Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer were both such big stars back in the 80's and 90's. It's hard to believe they hadn't worked together until now.

I liked this one more than the first, which I thought was entertaining but a little stale and the humor was mostly corny. I liked the drama, fast-pace and small story of this one. I also thought they didn't try to cram a joke in every sentence and the ones that were in there weren't awful. Sorry, I know I'm late, I just saw it the other night and can't tell where everyone here landed on it.

For having to sandwich a stand alone story in between Civil War and Infinity War storylines, and to release the movie between Infinity War and A4, I thought AMATW held up just fine. Pretty decent plot/story with good pacing and humor that landed way more than it missed. I would see a third movie if they make one.

Pretty decent movie. I like it just as much as the first. I just wish that we got a bit more of Janet though. We mostly just saw her in the quantum realm and then her exiting it for a bit. Would have also liked them to explore her powers a little deeper.

Awesome stills! Where's that city in the quantum realm though that people were talking about!?!

I’m still trying to figure out why they would be harvesting quantum energy on the same day that Thanos attacked the planet

I have to admit I teared up when Hank and Janet were reunited after so many years apart a really poignant moment.

I felt Michelle Pfeiffer was a great choice for Janet and I'm glad Hank had a bit more to do in this one instead of being an exposition machine in the first movie lol
