Kevin Feige Almost Drops A Big Kang Spoiler At The ANT-MAN & THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA Premiere

Though he stopped himself from actually revealing anything, Kevin Feige almost dropped a major Kang spoiler while being interviewed on the red carpet for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania...

Marvel Studios recently held its world premiere for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Kevin Feige almost dropped a spoiler while being interviewed on the red carpet.

The MCU maestro was asked about Jonathan Majors' performance as the villainous Kang the Conqueror, and stopped just short of saying a little too much about the role the character will play in Phase 5 and the Multiverse Saga.

“[Majors] is such a versatile actor, he’s getting a lot of great acclaim in numerous movies coming out around this time, and we’ve already... I almost gave you a big spoiler!”

What was he going to say? It's obviously impossible to know for sure, but based on Feige's comments about Kang's MCU future, we'd hazard a guess that he was about to reveal that they've already shot more Kang scenes for an upcoming project we weren't aware he was going to appear in.

That doesn't really narrow it down too much, especially as Kang is going to be so integral to this next Phase of the MCU, but check out the video for yourselves and let us know what you think.

Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.

The sci-fi adventure opens in theaters on Feb. 17, 2023.

I’d wager we see a little of kang in Deadpool 3 and Loki season 2,

@MyCoolYoung - two most likely places, yup!

@MyCoolYoung - The Marvels may also include him.
IMO he's going to be in ALL upcoming movies in some capacity we won't expect him in.

"The Marvels" is said to be a space-trotting musical, so I'd assume Carol/Kamala/Monica will encounter one of his less evil (but still evil) incarnations on one of the visited planets.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" will be about the High Evolutionary's "perfect world", who's to say we won't see an iteration of Kang there that either helps the High Evolutionary or is being used by him?

"Captain America: New World Order" will have the Serpent Society as villains and may see the return of Red Skull. Easy to assume that Kang is involved in getting good-ol Hermann back to earth in some way. At least a cameo is to be expected given the movie being an Avengers type team-up.

"Thunderbolts" deals with Sentry escaping Val's grasp. If we take "Captain America: New World Order" as a jumping off point I could see Val actually serving Hydra (her comic counterpart is Lady Hydra afterall) and Red Skull. A connection to Kang would make sense if he's the way Red Skull makes his way back to earth from Vormir. Could see a cameo happening.

"Armor Wars" will be in about the same timeframe and underlying arc that "Thunderbolts" and "New World Order" will follow. Again the re-surfacing of Hydra through the Serpent Society could all be connected to Kang. Using Hydra as his henchmen and in this movie even gaining control over A.I.M.

He's obviously in "Loki: Season 2" given that show's season 1 cliffhanger.

Kang showing up in "Fantastic Four" is a foregone conclusion. He's a descendant of Reed/Sue and might even be related to Doom down the line somewhere. He's inherrently tied to these characters and I'm sure they will be major in "Kang Dynasty".

As many have pointed out the Ten Rings resemble architecture found in the Quantum Realm. So it's kind of a hint that "Shang-Chi 2" will be connected to a weapon to take down Kang.

Given Owen Wilson's involvement in "Deadpool 3" it can be assumed that the X-Men timeline will be purged by the TVA, an association closely tied to Kang. Makes sense for him to at least cameo in that.

The only movies I'm not quite convinced he'll show up in are "Blade" and "Spider-Man 4". They seem too stand-alone for now but I wouldn't put it out of question for him to make his presence felt in these as well.

Overall I would put some money on the idea that he's going to show up in ALL upcoming movies until his eventual defeat.
He'll just play different iterations of himself that are sprinkled among the MCU.

@MyCoolYoung - He was going to say we'll learn he's a descendent of Reed Richards in the F4 mocie.

@MyCoolYoung - the key is to not over saturate us with Kang. have him show up in really key significant moments otherwise he becomes the old school cackling cartoon villain of the week. "ill get my revenge!! Muhaahahaha!!" . don't water down his avengers appearance with showing up for just showing up sake. also very key is to not wear out Jonathan Majors where he gets tired of the role before he even films the main events.

@MyCoolYoung - the thing I like most about Kang in Loki is Loki is the villain that was in every phase of the mcu and for the show to introduce the new villain that’ll be in every phase is kinda poetic.

Not counting Thanos since he was an after credits in the avengers

He's been cast as Reed Richards.

@supermanrex - he has different variants though. The reason I named those two that I did was because they can be in different universes.

Kidding, I agree he was about to say how many movies are in his contract.

@Repian - I hope "Secret Wars" ends with Doom's first appearance and him being key in defeating Kang. First seeming like an ally only to turn out to be the mad genius he is.

I won’t list the details here to avoid spoilers, but one of the leaked post credit scenes sounded interesting. I’ll probably be waiting a few months for D+ to see it, but I hope this can get the MCU back on track.

@CorndogBurglar - I wish I could hint at it without spoiling it. I really hope they go that wacky. It almost feels like they are playing things to safe with the multiverse and this would be a welcome change.

Was it ever explained why Janet aged normally in the quantum realm? Scott said 5 years was 5 hours so 30 years should should have been little over a day.

It was probably that they shot scenes for him for upcomings projects (plural?), and/or as other variants. Or at least that they've started work on his next appearance, which could mean it's something that is about to start filming or is in production already. Not the most shocking spoiler here, but we'll never strictly know.
