The latest figures are in for Ant-Man's debut at the Chinese box office, and the movie which stars Scott Lang is performing even better than expected. With an estimated haul of $17 million on Saturday, its two day total has risen to $29.8 million, and it looks set to bring in $44 million for the weekend. To put this in context for you, Guardians of the Galaxy made $30.07 million during its opening weekend in China and went on to gross over $96 million in the country, so Ant-Man looks set to do similar numbers (possibly more). That means the final Phase 2 movie should easily sail past the $500 million mark by the end of its box office run, a great result for Marvel Studios and something which easily justifies their decision to recently announce Ant-Man and The Wasp!
