Is Matt Gerald Playing Whirlwind in Ant Man?

As casting for the Ant Man movie for next year continues, actor Matt Gerald has been cast as a villain in the film. The only thing about him is that he appeared as one of the prisoners from Marvel One Shot All Hail the King. Well let's discuss this further in this article.

While not as popular as most actors, Matt Gerald is an American actor and screenwriter born in Florida who recently did roles in films like Terminator 3, Avatar, Red Dawn, and GI Joe Retaliation and has recently appeared as a prisoner in the Marvel One Shot All Hail the King.

In the one shot his character was named White Power Dave and if he does reprise his role as that same character, then there is a slight chance that his character in the Ant Man film, then his character might become the super villain

Whirlwind

The thing is Whirlwind's real name is David Cannon and White Power Dave's real name is Dave so if Gerald is reprising his role as the character from the one shot to the Ant Man film, then the one shot maybe a prologue to the Ant Man movie as well as Iron Man 4.

But if Matt Gerald's character in Ant Man isn't the same one from All Hail the King, then this could be a slight problem for other Marvel Cinematic films.

Anyway if Matt Gerald is cast as Whirlwind for Ant Man, he will be one serious bad guy for the hero to take on. Until then, we shall stay tuned until the actor's role has been officially confirmed.

That would be awesome. If they go with whirlwind, I hope they do something like his ultimate alliance design.

This has the argument of a 3 year old.

"His name is Dave"

So is like 5% of earth's population. Are they whirlwind?

@ALmight
"I wonder if Marvel has the rights to him since Whirlwind is a mutant, or perhaps this might be another one of those gray areas."

I was going to point this out. I doubt he falls into any grey area though, and therefore he's probably playing someone else.

"Whirlwind's real name is David Cannon and White Power Dave's real name is Dave"

We don't really know that for sure. His real name could be Stan, but "White Power Stan" didn't have the same quality.

Hulksta has the arguement of a Neo-Nazi

5% of the earth's population is named David

is Whirlwind Jewish?

What I love about the MCU, is the directors can be different and very unique to there own vision, but they still got almost one giant story to write, and there movies each are a part, so there almost working together, so your seeing guys like Joss Whedon, Edgar Wright, Kenneth Branaguh(thor), and so your almost getting one giant story with all these great directors almost being one together giant brain.lol

@THeIncrediblHulksta

Not all people named Dave and were prisnoers have a role in the Antman flick, with one of his only real TV legit villians being Whirwind, whos first name is Dave. Your being sarcastic.

Interesting. It would be great if Whirlwind where to be included in the film but i think you make a plausible case in which the actor could be playing the character of Whirlwind.
