Peyton Reed And Paul Rudd Narrate Awesome Deleted Scene From ANT-MAN

In a very cool new deleted scene from Ant-Man, Scott Lang disguises himself as a cable repair man in order to case the joint he's about to rob. Oh, and that joint belongs to none other than Hank Pym (who is also wearing a disguise of his own). Hit the jump to check it out...

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, John Slattery, and Hayley Atwell, Ant-Man is set to be released digitally on November 17th and on DVD and Blu-ray on December 8th. Will you be picking up a copy? Sound off below.

Seems like a neat scene but I'm glad that it was inevitably cut, didn't look that important and I think what we got was much better.

I always like knowing the reasons scenes are cut and the way filmmakers minds work.

@soberchimera

Is ant-man even highly rated to begin with though?

I think they just debuted a clip from Jessica Jones on the Jonathan Rss show. Might be wrong, if there's already been a clip released, but yeah. That was a thing that happened.

Neat scene. I would have liked some more To Catch a Thief stuff. Ant-Man had a lot going on, and probably could have been much more streamlined. I like the wombats, but the film could have very much been more about Scott, Hope, Hank, and Scott's family.

hufflepuff69 it was explained in the form that he didn't want his daughter to do it, but why him specifically is because he was so skilled at breaking into places... but it kind of counter acted itself since she and him worked at that place and walked in without a problem and could've easily placed C4 there without any probs

@Highflyer

@ALmazing

In the original script, Scott Lang and his team try to steal the "money" in the safe box of the house of Hank Pym. But Scott never knew Hank was watching, them he tries the suit, he then see how crazy it is everything and try to return it, only to be caught by the police.

When Scott and Hank talk in the police station in the original script Hank manipulates Scott with remove the charges of stealing his suit, if he helps him in a dangerous task, Hank also tells Scott that he will help him to get back his daughter. So Scott agree to form part of his plan and then he becames the soldier and apprentice of Hank.

In the original script and also in parts of the product we get, is say that Hank wanted Scott to do the work, because he was old and the Pym Particles did him change, did him become something bad and he cant use them more. Hank also doesnt wanted his daughter to have the same fate that he and his wife had.

Also in the original script, Scott Lang became crazy thanks to the Pym Particles and take the mantle of something really close to "Yellow Jacket", after stealing the suit Darren Cross was creating.

But Marvel tended to think this was too dark for the character and although it was a reissue of the original Yellow Jacket Arc that Hank Pym lived in the comics, this was erased and change to Darren Cross.

So Darren Cross became the regular bad guy, with some good reasons and he becames crazy because he is obsessed with approval and respect that he never get and Pym Particles make this more pronounced and he end up having a big huff and murderer attack.

But again like for Marvel it was too dark to make the Pym Particles something bad, they say it was the cheap clone Pym Particles that Darren created that make him insane and not the original good and lovely Pym Particles.

Stupid Marvel destroy his best movie ever, making a good and lovely safe ride. Without any good develop to Scott character.

I can see why they deleted the scene. Looking forward to getting my copy of the Blu Ray soon, I'm keen to watch it in 3D and add it to my MCU collection. Speaking of which, I still haven't gotten myself copies of AOS and Agent Carter on Blu Ray.
