AQUAMAN Action Figures Reveal Ocean Master And Black Manta's Full Costumes, A New Villain And More

We're been getting a lot of Aquaman content in the buildup to the first trailer this Saturday at SDCC, and now Mattel (via EW) has unveiled some pics of their 6" line of action figures based on the characters from the James Wan-directed DC flick.

In addition to giving us a much better idea of what to expect from the full costumes that'll be donned by the likes of Black Manta, Ocean Master and Vulko, the toys feature some of the ferocious deep-sea steeds that they'll ride into battle. We also get a first glimpse of a new villain known as The Brine King.

Classic Arthur Curry

Another look at our Atlantean hero (Jason Momoa) in his traditional green and gold costume from the comics.

Apparently, this getup will be known as the battle-suit - so expect Aquaman to see plenty of action when he debuts it in the movie.

Hydrokenetic Mera

This Mera (Amber Heard) figure is using her hydrokenetic powers that we first witnessed in Justice League. Expect to see her utilize them a lot more in Aquaman.

Ocean Master

We got a glimpse of Ocean Master's (Patrick Wilson) helmet on that recent magazine cover, but here we get a first look at the design for his full costume. It seems the villain will also be sporting a silver, metallic trident.

Black Manta

Our first good look at the entire Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) costume. This fan-favorite "pirate mercenary" is expected to steal the show, won't just be a one-and-done villain.

Atlantian Great White Shark

A giant 18” great white shark with biting teeth: “You can race through the violent depths on a course to victory”

It looks like Arthur Curry's underwater steed of choice is this giant great white shark. The toy has a biting teeth feature, and Aquaman “can race through the violent depths on a course to victory."

King Orm Battle Suit, Brine King, & Aquaman

A first look at the Brine King, we’re told this “crustacean will attack, swing his claw and capture enemies in a lethal vice grip”

In addition to King Orm in his armor, we have a first look at a new villain known as The Brine King. This “crustacean will attack, swing his claw and capture enemies in a lethal vice grip.”

Vulko And His Hammerhead Shark

The first head-on look at Willem Dafoe’s advisor Vulko, shown here with his awesome ride

The first head-on look at Willem Dafoe’s advisor Vulko, shown here with his Hammerhead Shark pal.

Atlantean Soldier

All the action figures will be available this fall

We saw distant set pics of some of these guys back when the movie was shooting, but this figure gives us a much better look at the formidable armor that'll be worn by the Atlantean Soldiers.

these have got to be the most comic accurate costumes since

@dracula - Nah man, there have been plenty of comic accurate costumes since the 60s.

Case in point:

dracula

@L0RDbuckethead - Those costumes are very accurate, with just a few minor tweeks, but those are just one characters, the 60's Batman series basically brought everything from the comics they adapted from page to screen, and it seems like Aquaman is doing the same
L0RDbuckethead
L0RDbuckethead - 7/18/2018, 7:32 PM
@dracula - Ah I gotchu. You meant the show as a whole vs. the Aquaman film as a whole.

My mistake. It definitely is.
dracula
dracula - 7/18/2018, 7:53 PM
@L0RDbuckethead - Exactly, cause yeah 60's Batman, everything looked straight out of a comic book, and from all the things we have seen from Aquaman, it seems like it will be the same
L0RDbuckethead
L0RDbuckethead - 7/18/2018, 7:54 PM
@dracula - For sure man, totally agree.

gotta admit, this movie keeps surprising me with its design mentality, AKA, I'm glad they're sticking with the outrageous stuff like Black Manta's big ass eyes, the crab people and the sharks with freaking laser beams attached to their heads.
