Aquaman is set to pass the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office this weekend and it's fair to say that the James Wan helmed adventure has massively exceeded expectations since being released.

As fun as his introduction was in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, none of us could have expected the King of Atlantis to find such a huge amount of success and Warner Bros. has to be happy about what's shaping up to be their most lucrative franchise since Harry Potter

In this second round of concept art (you can find the first by clicking here), the spotlight is put on a number of characters, including Tom Curry, the Fisherman tribe, Vulko, Atlantean armour, Mera's insane dress, and a whole lot more. These are all very cool and show just how much work went into dreaming up the DC Comics adaptation.

I was surprised at how fluid the atlantian elite soldiers (red ones) could move in those suits as they looked so clunky in set pics.

Black Manta too🤔🤔

Saw this on Tuesday, [frick]ing phenomenal. I've never really paid attention to acting but Patrick Wilson made me notice. He was so [frick]ing good. Every time he was on-screen I was just like "Woah." Amber Heard was bad though. Her and most of the humour are the only majorly bad parts of the film.

OT: Also saw Bumblebee the day after. That was awful. If I'd have gone to see it alone, halfway through I would've left. Hailee Steinfeld was doing a good job, but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. It reminded me of Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore - and that is obviously not a good thing. It's the epitome of "it got worse as it went along".

@Nebula - I thought BumbleBee was better than Aquaman. Aquaman is diminishing returns, it gets worst as the film progresses and the more you think about the film afterwards. It’s as ridiculous and bizarre as Venom. Everyone's acting was terrible. Patrick Wilson was too over the top and William Dafoe was stale because they knew what kind of film they're in. Mamoa and Heard are terrible leads that lack chemistry. Mamoa’s performance is as cheesy and terrible as the Conan reboot. Guess everyone is forgiving Aquaman because they are thirsty for more DC films regardless of quality? The expectation for DC films is so low that an average to subpar film is considered good? It’s sad to see how low the bar has fallen after Nolan quit.

BumbleBee was made to be a cutesy teen drama / girl and her pet story. So if the trailers weren’t clear enough, not sure what else people were expecting? Michael Bay rock’em sock’em robots? BumbleBee is the best Transformers movie ever made and shows how you properly balance human characters with transformers. It is literally a G1 episode adapted for the big screen. If you think Bumble Bee was terrible than there is no hope for the Transformers franchise.

Finally saw Aquaman last sunday. I really liked it alot. Thought it was a great movie and was very pleasantly surprised. 2nd best comic book movie of 2018. Easily DC best movie since TDKR. I'm a big fan and had a great time watching it. Wish the rest of DC was like this... can't believe Aquaman has been my favorite and best movie of the bunch for DC

@RorMachine - Not going to lie, I freaking loved that both times it happened (OM and BM). Felt very comic book-y.

The best thing they did was get rid of Aquaman's creepy, milky blue eyes from the Snyder movies. Not knocking anything else, the movie looks really cool, but I had trouble looking at him when he had those fake eyeballs.
