AQUAMAN: James Wan, Jason Momoa, & Amber Heard Celebrate As Filming Wraps On The Upcoming DC Adventure

The countdown has officially begun as filming has finally wrapped on the next DC solo outing, Aquaman.

Director James Wan (Furious 7) and both stars Jason Momoa (Justice League) and Amber Heard (Justice League) took to their personal Instagram and Twitter accounts earlier this morning to share a few photos of themselves celebrating the end of the lengthy shoot, which kicked off back in May.

In addition to Momoa and Heard, Patrick Wilson (Fargo), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Greatest Showman), Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man), Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Dolph Lundgren (Arrow), Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith), and Ludi Lin (Power Rangers) will also star.

DC's first underwater adventure is expected to debut in theaters on December 21, but with Paramount recently announcing their Bumblebee spinoff for the same weekend, it's probably safe to assume that one of the two movies will ultimately move elsewhere. Now, whether or not that will be Aquaman is yet-to-be-seen.

It’s a wrap!

@dotherightthing - Batman and Superman are my two favorite superheroes, I'll always be excited for their movies.
And Matt Reeves seems like the perfect director for Batman so I can't wait.

This movie is going to be on a whole different level. Loving how they're using props also. (whale) I grew up around aquarium work all my life, so it's going to be very interesting to see how they visually handle this. Loving what I've seen so far. It's got something very different to offer landscape wise.

The King of Atlantis and the King of Wakanda making their solo film debut next year. Both being taken very seriously but being visually impressive. There's no losses on either side. 💪🏽👑
