AQUAMAN Set Pics Feature Amber Heard's Mera & Jason Momoa Sporting New Armor As The King Of Atlantis

As James Wan's solo Aquaman movie continues filming in the Australian coastal suburb of Currumbin, some new set snaps provide our best look yet at the film's central characters in full costume.

Jason Momoa and Amber heard were spotted shooting a scene in which Aquaman and Mera emerge from the sea, and it looks like The King of Atlantis is sporting an updated version of his Justice League costume.

At first glance it seems quite similar, but the shoulder pads and chest-plate are noticeably larger and more shell-like. The photos also shows Mera carrying an object in the right hand, but it's difficult to make out. Could it be something important to the plot, perhaps?

Check out the pics and video below, and be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place.

Aquaman is set for release on December 21, 2018, and also stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius/Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.
