Amazing Fan Art Takes The Avengers Quinjet From Comic Book To Reality!

After something of a tease from Joe Quesada yesterday that the Quinjet might be in The Avengers, I came across the following fan made designs of the teams plane which give us an idea of how it would look in live action...

Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel’s The Avengers" is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.

I was sent a link earlier today to the following images of one artists interpretation of how The Avengers classic mode of transport would look in a live action setting. With many believing that Joe Quesada's Tweet yesterday was an indication that the aircraft will appear in the upcoming movie, I thought now would the perfect time to post these and wonder, what if? Click on the link below to check out more images.

With an all star cast which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Rufallo as Bruce Banner, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, The Avengers is set to be released on May 4, 2012!

They need to hire some NASA engineers to design something practical and more badass looking for the movie....chances are they probably already did.

The Quinjet is cool, but it's definitely made in mid-part of the 20th century. The Blackbird is cooler.

I would prefer something like this. More sleek and modern.

Ya they would probably be better off not having it in the movie at all, it would just seem stupid to have a space ship to the average moviegoer. They should have it in there though at one point, like as a little nod towards the actual fans.

The Avengers need a private jet, and the Quinjet is it. I'm glad it's going to be in the movie, and hopefully they have a cool design for it. Even better if it's not just a plane, as the X-men's Blackbird is, but has some nifty features that figure into some action sequences.

It's perfect. The avengers are starting, after all, and a classic-like quinjet is appropriate.

And besides, how Cap, Hawkeye, Fury and Black Widow would reach the skrull armada to [frick] them out? :P

thats nice, can't wait to see the quinjet in the film.

And some of you guys are never happy. If some teleport or some other shit was invented by stark to allow the avengers to travel, people would say "why didn't they use the quinjet? they're disrespecting the fans and the source material, blablabla"

Awesome sauce! I wish i had time to do stuff like this in CAD.

I do prefer the nose to have more of a point like this

Very well done but it looks so dated and visually poor. In comics the jet had already a good update.

Looks like the movie Thunderbird 2. They will definitely not make it look like that in the film, I imagine it'll be more Blackbird-y

this vehicle looks ridiculous. It looks like a rip off of Thunderbird 2 and i don't think i need to remind you all how badly that film sucked and that noone liked the ships in that film, notably thunderbird 2.

The HELI-CARRIER better be in this damn movie. Its the only thing i want to see in it. The Quinjet was always gay to me.

cerrone6 - 6/28/2011, 3:35 PM
@canadiancastaway ...Depending where they are & what their up against would have a lot to do with how they arrive. Remeber the Helicarrrier is huge huge huge where as the Quinjet will be more suited to fly grounded heroes to opposition. dont understand why some fans have a problem with it being in the film.. Although i do agree their should be an upgrade to quinjet. i wouldent mind seeing the Helicarrier as well.,,,Now my question is did you or anyone check out the stolen script of Samuel Jackson which had dialog of Black widow & Dr.Banner then I.M and Steve Rodgers running by the engine room? well i wonder if thats the engine room of the Helicarrier?......answers?
sexfoodcomics
sexfoodcomics - 6/28/2011, 3:49 PM
They will need something to fly Cap and Hulk around. I'm sure the quintet will be a Shield aircraft in the movie.

D you think the heli-carrier will be in the first movie or will they save it for the second. I think they are gonna save it for the second flick.
VanCityKid
VanCityKid - 6/28/2011, 3:53 PM
nah Id rather see them get around on the Helicarrier, the quinjet never got my attention. Besides if they needed something smaller, why not just use a helicopter or a dropship? Just imagine Cap diving shield first out of a chopper into the middle of the battlefied...
AUTISTICSPIDER
AUTISTICSPIDER - 6/28/2011, 3:55 PM
Intruder@, I understand where your coming from but when half the team can fly doesn't it seem stupid. And I never said out of place, I said stupid, you are reading my comment in the wrong context. And they also already have the Heli-carrier to get them places so...

A friend of mine just came back from Albuquerque NM, he got to see parts of the Heilcarrier set, and Tony Stark's Mansion set. He said both sets were BAD ASS! I asked if he got any pictures none because the security was really tight only photo ID . He also Mentioned the Movie is called "Group Hug". He said the set was very retro-futuristic. He said filming ends sometime in Aug. He was working on the Sara Paillen movie for HBO. Man I cannot wait!!!

I'd like to see something like the classic Quinjet used in the Avengers movie ... but I hope it actually has, you know, FIVE jets, if they're going to call it a "quinjet."

Very nice rendering though. Clearly the artist put a lot of work into it.

Need the jet, but I sure hope that's just a concept and not the one they are going with.
