Anyway about the casting I don’t feel one way or another by it. But I will say if Jarvis was to become Ultron then I don’t believe his friendly tone would remain. Ive heard some mean brits that remained proper in their speech patterns and it was just as creepy.

weeeeellllll - my own personal (and no doubt about to be ridiculed) theory is that this is the beginnings of a Masters of Evil-style story.

We know that CA:TWS is going to be the main lead in to the film so I can see Pierce (Redford's character) as SHIELD director will authourise (with the WSC help) his own Avengers Initiative - one that can be fully controled by SHIELD so they do as they are told (unlike the original Avengers).

Ultron will be the main focus of the team (possibly created by AIM using knowledge based on Stark tech and HYDRA weapons) but goes nut ball!

Also included in this 'team' will be the Abomination (The Consultant one-shot specifies the WSC interest in him). Crossbones. Scarlet Witch. Quicksilver and possibly Kurse (or at least someone to give Thor a hard time).

oh yes - and Ultron was one of the leaders of the MOE way back in his first appearance.

So true about Cumberbatch. But he could play anyone: Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Namor, pretty much any villain, Dr Strange, and you know what? He was my pick for Batman... But not Bruce Wayne
