Avengers: Doomsday first revealed its cast during a four-hour chair reveal last March. It kept fans hooked, included some big surprises, and made it clear who would lead the ensemble.
Since then, a few more names have joined the movie, including Hayley Atwell, Kathryn Newton, and if the rumours are to be believed, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Now, thanks to the additional scenes attached to Avengers Endgame: Encore, we can officially add five more actors to the already impressive cast.
The biggest surprise is Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. There were rumblings about Doctor Doom unleashing a Maestro-like Hulk Variant on the Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes, but we now know that it's Earth-616's Hulk.
The Time Variance Authority will also have a role to play in Avengers: Doomsday, as a post-credits scene featured Owen Wilson as Mobius, Ke Huy Quan as O.B., and Eugene Cordero as Casey. Tara Strong also reprises her role as Miss Minutes for some much-needed exposition.
Interestingly, there's no sign of Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie, which is sure to lead to renewed speculation about her being one of Doctor Doom's Latverian Witches.
The scenes added to Avengers Endgame: Encore have reportedly been taken from Avengers: Doomsday and weren't necessarily filmed specifically for this extended cut (the only one that feels like it might have been included solely for this re-release was Banner's cameo).
With only a few short months until Doomsday arrives, it will be interesting to see who else Marvel Studios publicly announces for the cast. If Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man is in the movie, for example, then why not send excitement through the roof by adding him to an upcoming trailer?

Avengers: Doomsday stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Mabel Cadena, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Lewis Pullman, India Rose Hemsworth, and Wesley Holloway all make their Avengers franchise debuts.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn join them, along with X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden, plus Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.
The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz produced the movie, with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18.
