Much has been said about Avengers: Doomsday since it began filming, including supposed on-set clashes and issues that came with starting principal photography without a script.
Those reports have largely been debunked, though it's no secret that getting the movie to the finish line hasn't been easy for the Russo Brothers. Reshoots only just wrapped up, giving the filmmakers a couple of months to put the finishing touches on what may be the biggest MCU blockbuster yet.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, the rumoured feud—you can learn more about that here—has "been resolved" and "there are currently no issues with Doomsday."
Marvel Studios is said to have held another test screening, which included the unfinished post-credits scene "that was just filmed." These are thought to be internal-only test screenings, but the scores are reportedly "much higher" than 2019's Avengers: Endgame.
That movie has 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and generated serious Oscar buzz, so Avengers: Doomsday might blow us all away this December. It's already on track to break box office records, and this latest update says the movie is "still around 2 hours and 45 minutes long," even as the Russos continue tinkering with it.
"We always view the script as a living organism," Joe Russo recently said of shooting without a finished script. "We’re improvisation-based, rehearsal-based directors. We like to see what the actors bring to the characters, and sometimes you don’t get the actors until a few days or a few weeks before you shoot them. And a lot of the time, that’s when the magic happens."
He continued, "When you’re doing one of these movies, it’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done. When you’re doing two of them, it’s almost inconceivable. But it’s the second time around we’re doing two back to back."

The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn join them, as do X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, with Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.
The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz, with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18.
