Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday "Doomsday Clock" countdown on YouTube received an intriguing update earlier. One city after another was slowly revealed, with it now confirmed that they're the locations for the movie's Global Tour.
For such a big movie, the list is surprisingly short. While dates haven't been announced, the Avengers: Doomsday cast will visit Las Vegas, São Paulo, Gold Coast, Rome, London, Seoul, Shanghai, Toronto, and Los Angeles.
There are some grumblings on social media about cities like New York and Paris being overlooked, and it will be interesting to see what fan events each of these locations will receive. We know that early screenings are set to take place before the movie officially opens on December 18, so Marvel Studios clearly isn't too worried about spoilers for this one.
For fans in or near these cities, this is an exciting development, and we'd imagine the movie's stars will be out in full force to build hype very soon.
In the countdown, a new piece of Alan Silvestri's Avengers: Doomsday score can seemingly be heard, and it's suitably ominous. Could it be Doctor Doom's theme in the movie?
The hope is that Avengers: Doomsday will end the Multiverse Saga on a high note, something Anthony Russo acknowledged when he was asked whether it's down to him and Joe to set things right.
"It’s a great question. It’s part of the unique challenge," the filmmaker said earlier this year. "The thing that Joe and I have always appreciated about our collaboration with Marvel is: Our job isn’t to answer for the entirety of the MCU. We intersect it in a very specific way. It’s that intersection which is where we can make sense of things."
