Avengers Endgame: Encore International Poster May Be The Best One Yet For MCU Re-Release

A new international poster for Avengers Endgame: Encore has been revealed, and it ranks among the best ones we've seen for the upcoming re-release of Marvel Studios' biggest blockbuster.

Avengers: Endgame returns to theaters as Avengers Endgame: Encore in less than a month. The re-release will feature a new look at December's Avengers: Doomsday and will be presented in Disney's newly launched "Infinity Vision" format.

While IMAX has dismissed it as a gimmick, it's been officially described as a new certification for Premium Large Format (PLF) theaters that guarantees moviegoers an exceptional film presentation with big screens, bright images and outstanding sound.

A new poster for Avengers Endgame: Encore has been released today, this time for international Dolby theaters. It assembles Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Okoye, Nebula, War Machine, and Rocket.

In the background, the Nano Gauntlet looms large; as we're sure you'll remember, the Hulk used it to snap half the universe back into existence, and later Tony Stark unleashed its power while making the ultimate sacrifice to stop Thanos' attack on Earth.

Joe Russo previously described Avengers Endgame: Encore as "required viewing" because it connects "the story of [Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Doomsday" together.

"There’s a natural progression from Endgame into Doomsday, which is also inclusive of all the other stories that have been playing out," the filmmaker continued. "But I think it’s important to see Endgame again in theaters for two reasons: One, you’re going to have a lot of fun... and two, I think it’s required viewing for following the story in Doomsday."

Anthony added, "If you saw Endgame when it was originally released, you couldn’t see this coming." Joe has also described it as "an opportunity to create a bridge from Endgame to Doomsday in a very unique way," saying that it's a "critical companion story" and a "setup for what you’re gonna watch in December when you see Avengers: Doomsday."

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the movie features an epic ensemble which includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

"Avengers: Endgame is a masterpiece which not only delivers on every expectation you had but exceeds ones you didn't even think about. This isn't just a movie, it's an experience," we wrote in our 2019 review of the movie.

Avengers Endgame: Encore arrives in theaters on September 25.

Josh is double time glazing on Marvel here 😂😂😂

I remember seeing that news on the x-men cinematograpger (of Pig) and he glazed it so much as if the supposed next big thing in the MCU needs an indie cinematographer. 😂😂😂

"But I think it’s important to see Endgame again in theaters for two reasons: One, you’re going to have a lot of fun... and two, I think it’s required viewing for following the story in Doomsday."

Translation: "We really need people to come out and watch those extra 4 minutes of footage, and give us your money, because Disney drove this brand into the ground."

"If you saw Endgame when it was originally released, you couldn’t see this coming."

Translation: "We had to re-cut this movie because we're struggling to hash together enough connective tissue from the last 7 years to warrant having Doom, and to have it make sense."
