According to Deadline's Mike Fleming, Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead, Black Pather) has joined the cast of Marvel and The Russo Brothers' Avengers: Infinity War. Fleming adds that although "no one is saying", he's "speculating" that she'll be reprising the role of Okoye from Ryan Coogler's Black Panther.

I'd say that's a pretty safe bet, Mike.

The Russos recently teased that we'd be taking a little trip to Wakanda for the third Avengers movie, so it makes sense that some of T'Challa's companions would feature alongside their king. It's already been confirmed that Shuri (Letitia Wright) will be showing up, and Winston Duke's Man-Ape is rumored.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2018.

This movie is going to either be a ton of group shots or several sweeping shots just so they can say that everyone was in it. Can't wait.

@Oberlin4Prez - Mhmmm!! I know it's a logistical nightmare scheduling wise but it makes these movies so much more enjoyable when you can briefly see the side characters and each Avenger's corner.
Even if it's just a cameo, I'd love to see Pepper again. Give us a quick glimpse of Asgard post Ragnarok, show us that Sharon is still helping Steve, have Aunt May call Peter quickly cause he's late for dinner. Reallyyyyy little stuff like that.

@ODanil - Probably not. Because the longer the movie, the less times you can show it during the day. And that's not the best way to earn a big box office.
