James Gunn Debunks INFINITY GAUNTLET As The Title For AVENGERS 4

A recent Zoe Saldana interview seemingly saw the Gamora actress accidentally reveal Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet as the title of the Infinity War sequel, but James Gunn says she simply misspoke.

Yesterday, Zoe Saldana gave an interview to Lizo Mzimba which seemingly leaked the guarded title of Avengers 4. When stating that she'd need to return to Atlanta's Pinewood Studios later this year to shoot "Gauntlet" many knowledgeable comic book fans logically assumed that the film would be titled Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet.

If that ultimately proved to be the actual title and with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously going to great lengths to avoid revealing the name of the Russo bros.' follow-up, one would imagine that the studio wouldn't be very happy with the Star Trek Beyond actress.

However, earlier today, Saldana's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director pulled her bacon out of the fire, stating “It’s not the title.
My guess is that Zoe just misspoke. I’ll talk to Zoe today, but I would imagine that is just Zoe misspeaking and saying ‘Infinity Gauntlet’ instead of ‘Infinity War’."

So in other words, continue speculating away...
