Loki star Jonathan Majors was recently spotted on the set of Creed III looking both incredibly buff and a fitting opponent for Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed. Speculation online points to Majors playing the son of Clubber Lang, and it's fair to say he looks in fighting shape to play a boxer.
Of course, the actor will have an even bigger battle on his hands over the next few years.
Majors will return as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania before likely showing up in Loki season 2 and then taking centre stage elsewhere in Marvel Studios' Multiverse Saga. It's obvious Kang will be the main focus of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (the clue is in the title, folks), while we're sure he'll factor heavily into Avengers: Secret Wars as well.
With Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed to be helming The Kang Dynasty, we'd bet on Shang-Chi being a huge part of the story. That means Simu Liu will finally assemble with the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but the actor clearly knows that The Avengers will have an uphill battle against Majors' Kang when he's in this kind of shape!
Sharing a Creed III set photo, Liu took to Twitter to say, "the Avengers are straight up effed." We can't disagree, and as we've only met a Kang who had lost his mind at the end of time, we're sure future Variants will be suitably formidable.
Jordan is stepping behind the camera to direct the next Creed movie, while we recently learned that it's been shifted from its November 23, 2022 release date to March 3, 2023. We've no doubt it will be worth the wait, though, and are looking forward to seeing Majors step into the ring. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.
