With Kang the Conqueror set to take centre stage in The Multiverse Saga, Shang-Chi star Simu Liu has shared his hilarious reaction to a photo of Johnathan Majors looking super buff on the Creed III set.

Loki star Jonathan Majors was recently spotted on the set of Creed III looking both incredibly buff and a fitting opponent for Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed. Speculation online points to Majors playing the son of Clubber Lang, and it's fair to say he looks in fighting shape to play a boxer.

Of course, the actor will have an even bigger battle on his hands over the next few years.

Majors will return as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania before likely showing up in Loki season 2 and then taking centre stage elsewhere in Marvel Studios' Multiverse Saga. It's obvious Kang will be the main focus of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (the clue is in the title, folks), while we're sure he'll factor heavily into Avengers: Secret Wars as well.

With Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed to be helming The Kang Dynasty, we'd bet on Shang-Chi being a huge part of the story. That means Simu Liu will finally assemble with the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but the actor clearly knows that The Avengers will have an uphill battle against Majors' Kang when he's in this kind of shape!

Sharing a Creed III set photo, Liu took to Twitter to say, "the Avengers are straight up effed." We can't disagree, and as we've only met a Kang who had lost his mind at the end of time, we're sure future Variants will be suitably formidable.

Jordan is stepping behind the camera to direct the next Creed movie, while we recently learned that it's been shifted from its November 23, 2022 release date to March 3, 2023. We've no doubt it will be worth the wait, though, and are looking forward to seeing Majors step into the ring. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.

Take a look at Liu's Tweet below:

That pic from the set of Creed 2. Speculations is that he’s Clubber Lang’s son. I hope not.

@WruceBayne - I have a feeling that he is. That’s not a good idea.

@SpaceParanoids - Agreed. They already did the Russian son thing. No need to re-hash the son angle. If they absolutely must use Clubber Lang, it should just be someone he's training. But I don't think it's necessary. Just throw a new character in as the opponent.

@CorndogBurglar - the Russian son had zero and I mean zero charisma, negative zero compared to Dolph (who needs to quit acting Ayayay)

BUT! I’ll watch a Clubber Lang son. If dude has charisma, I sure will!

@TheWalkingCuban - you can’t be Clubber Langs son without ALL the charisma

@SpaceParanoids - everyone has a son willing to fight. Creed 3 is gonna establish rocky had a second son who's now a boxer. And after that the son of Mason the line Dixon. Then for the final film the son of Pauli and that robot will show up.

I honestly hope it’s not another storyline featuring the son of one of Rocky’s old opponents. What’s next, Creed 4: Adonis Creed vs the love child of Tommy “The Machine” Gunn?
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 8/17/2022, 11:23 PM
@TheMarxican - Nah Tommy's son is for Creed 5, Creed 4 is Adonis vs. the other super secret hidden son of Apollo that no one knows about.

I have no clue who clubber is. He's a little too deep in the rocky trenches for me. I know Majors will crush it and I hope this franchise gets back to creed 1 instead of creed 2

@MyCoolYoung - (It's just Mr. T, you're not missing much.) My personal head-canon is that only Rocky 1, 2, 4, and Creed 1 exist. And also that somehow Over the Top is set in the same universe, and that Lincoln Hawk gets mistaken for Rocky Balboa multiple times a week.

@Spock0Clock - I'm a have to watch over the top. I've legit not heard of it.

Majors looks to be in his best and healthiest shape, that's pretty cool.

I wanna see that Ten Rings Kame-Hame-Ha attack that he almost did in his movie happen in the Kang Dynasty.

@NinnesMBC - if they manage to turn Shang-Chi into an MCU Goku, i may shit myself. Thats not a terrible idea either. Steal live action DBZ from Akira before they ever have a chance to do it on a Marvel sized budget.

NinnesMBC - 8/18/2022, 1:43 AM
@TheVandalore - I read more than one comment of his fight with Wenwu that compared it to anime type of battles so going into that direction for the movies and character wouldn't be that bad. I wouldn't complain.

They've done a good job with Creed 1 & 2 so cautiously optimistic that 3 will be decent also. Viktor Drago and Adonis Creed had a personal connection/rivalry through the fight their fathers had which resulted in Apollo's death, but asides from some trash talk there was really nothing serious between Apollo & Clubber Lang - so if Majors is playing Lang Jr, I can't really see what angle they'll take to give it some emotional stakes. But it's all just speculation, maybe he's an entirely new character.
