If TDKR flops, the Nolanites will go [frick]ing insane, it would be pretty funny.

Still, looking foward to both movies.

It won't flop. I love the Nolan movies but lets admit that they have just as many non-sensical thing's as other comic book movie's. Such as magical vapor ray doomesday weapon, a guy guarding the Joker by standing in the room with him, a bat mobile that can't go anywhere without causing million's of dollars in damage, the "pent house halo jump", the Joker being prepared for all contigencies(the guy who is supposed to have "no plan"),etc...

you'd figure Harley Davidson would promote Ghost Rider or something since he's known for riding a bike...anyways we're finally in the year of all these great cbms and i cant wait to see them all

Can't we both just enjoy TDKR and the Avengers, seriously this whole Nolenite and Avengerite shite is getting pathetic.

#fscusu... You crack me up.. TDKR will live up to hype and WILL NOT drop off after 2 weeks, and avengers is not bringing is something new, its just all the characters from previous movies cram packed into one movie. I'm excited for both movies, but what people fail to realize is that non comic book junkies like us will be seeing TDKR before the avengers anyday. Everyone I know and talk to are excited as hell to see the new Batman. No one even mentions the avengers. Anyways, cool article and yes it would be cool if they do give cap a new bike for the avengers.

I agree with havocprime I can't wait for both films as for TASM I don't see the point in another origin story when the first one is only ten years old I wasn't a fan of them but did enjoy spiderman 2

@40oz you have some weird friends , all my friends talk about the Avengers. And TDKR won't live up to the TDK because Jokers isn't in it. IF you can tell me another comic book movie that has ever brought up dufferent heroes in their own origin films just to bring them together in a Superhero Team movie than I'll be willing to listen to you once you say "this isn't something new"

@livlic92... I understand the whole seperate movies and now combining them into one thing, its cool, I get it. And I would take it that your 19? Since you have 92 in your username. That would explain why you and all your highschool friends are excited about a bunch of guys in bright colored costumes. I'm just saying that everyone I've talked to (25 years and up) can't wait for the film of the year... The dark knight rises.

totally agree with you and why comment about TDKR in a avengers article and vice versa,after all this site is about CBM and not dc vs. marvel or in this case avengers vs. TDKR

@40oz me being 19 means that I'm in college...And age has nothing to do with anything. I know plenty of people 25 years and up who don't give a crap about the TDKR. it's nothing new about that movie. Just some overrealistic piece of shit. I can honestly say that TDKR will make more money but I personally prefer The Avengers

@whatevillurks

Hate to sound like a Unicorn, I mean "Nolanite"? by defending TDK because all movies are fiction and thus have flaws when dissected. But I can't resist the tasty tidbits you've presented.

Once Batman bounced Jokers head off the two-way glass and compromised it, it became a "stand-by" situation. This is an actual thing. A criminal can't be left unattended in a breached area. The only problem here is that someone was supposed to secure the damage and remove the excess shards. One of the best scenes in the film. Would you like to know which of them were cowards?

A Batmobile that can't go anywhere without property damage? Come'on. Are you serious? In Batman Begins, Alfred checked Bruce for his recklessness. In TDK, he's going up against a villain who is using a Rocket Launcher on the streets and taking out helicopters. The Joker is doing the damage. If that's an actual gripe, it's unbelievably weak.

No plan? I heard at least one critic mention this similar thing. He mentioned Joker saying "It's all part of the plan" as a contradiction to him asking Harvey "Do I really look like a guy with a plan?". It's obvious he doesn't care about money and it's also clear he is an agent of chaos. He can't do this without being smart and calculating to a good degree. When he tells Harvey he's a man with no plan, he's telling Harvey what he needs to tell Harvey to manipulate him. DOI? Then he goes on to explain the follies of schemers. Who would watch the film and take him literally after seeing what he's doing? It's kinda retardish.

The evaporator isn't worth going into. It's a cliche item lames use to challenge Nolan's "realism". It's just a movie element and NO ONE thought it was out-of-place until the hating started. Don't draw from a bag of existing basher sentiments, raise your own. Respectfully.

And I don't even know what the "halo jump" is referencing.

@Barnebeejones AGREED.

Back on topic. YAY!!!!

Hey arrowtotheknee....DONT GO SEE AVENGERS! you wont like it, it has to do with comic books and aliens and heroes that fly and have powers. just sounds terrible doesn't it? have you seen Tree of Life, that's more up you alley. I want to see Avengers and all you negative namecalling isn't going to change anyones mind, NO ONE cares. I want to see TDKR just as bad. Grow up, you know you'll watch Avengers and you'll say you hate it, even though we all know you're lying. We know.

@MaddMonkk - I can guarantee you that I won't pay to see something that deserves to be viewed online, or on DVD at best.

I'm not trying to make you not want to see it either! Please, by all means, enjoy your fun little flick.

The only reason I am 'trolling' on Avengers articles ( see offering my opinion) is in response to the massive amount of Marvelite comments flooding anything to do with TDKR.

Call it restoring balance. You enjoy your shit movie, and ill enjoy mine ;)
