Talking to IGN Movies recently, Iron Man and Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau (who is also serving as Executive Producer on The Avengers) has shared his thoughts on not only the Armored Avenger, but also returning as Happy Hogan in Shane Black's Iron Man 3 and detailing his thoughts on why Joss Whedon is the best man for the job when it comes to next year's superhero team-up epic.

Do people forget that he's long been an actor as well as a director? It's not that big of a deal to get him to act in a film that he isn't directing.

What a class act! It's so good not too hear bickering among people who are worth millions and make millions of dollars every year and live in huge houses with pools! He is right on the money in so many respects EXCEPT that we do NOT need an Avengers movie chalk full of Whedonesque humor. I don't need Thor & Cap quipping with each other. I hope Whedon realizes this and restrains his normal ADD cutesy, snarkiness.
