The Avengers was a GREAT movie. Great acting, great character development, and great action.

I liked it but I think its overrated; wasn't as great as I expected, was pretty simplistic and Cap looked like a walking, talking giant blue dildo... In my opinion it was in need of being a tiny bit more grounded like The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, here's hoping Marvel rectify their mistakes for any future projects...

i'm not sure what all the hubbub is about ... avengers is clearly tailored to a younger audience. it just is.

some older people who like the movie somehow don't appreciate this obvious fact i think in part because they feel like it somehow diminishes their taste or that this fact somehow suggests that they too have childlike tastes ... well, i'm not sure what conclusions can be drawn from the fact that the avengers is clearly geared toward a younger audience. it just is. there is no use being defensive about it.

Cool. Not that this award means anything. LOL. Although Abduction did have some cool stuff in it, it was mainly boring for an action movie.

And why wouldn't kids love it? This is the Avengers movie that I dreamed of as a kid. We should all be thankful that we are finally getting to see descent comic book movies. Stop arguing over which ones are better or which ones are for kids. Just enjoy these movies like you enjoyed reading or even just looking at the comic books when you were a kid. Adults are miserable. I should know, I am one of them 40 hours a week and it sucks.

@herald ... there is no way in hell my father would go to see the avengers. he wouldn't want to see the TDKR either but that's because it's too loud. he did finally get around to watching TDK however, though I don't think he liked it.

I hate these awards lol Twilight wins everything by default. The majority is based upon teenage girls anyway lol

Anyway The Avengers is the best CBM this year so I hope it wins more credible awards.

brewtownpsych - 7/23/2012, 6:09 PM
@herald ... well we can agree to disagree. but you are never going to convince me that the Avengers and TDKR were designed with the same audiences in mind. seriously dude ... i'm not sure i even can bother to explain if you don't see that as readily apparent. but oh well ...

Only one Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr as both Stark and Rhodey
