The Avengers Trailer Reuses A Shot From Iron Man

There has been a bit of work done to it, but on close inspection I think it's undeniable that a shot of Iron Man from The Avengers trailer has been recycled. Have a looksee..

Is this becoming a new trend? I'm sure it probably happens more than we realize but recently Michael Bay was called out on reusing a shot from The Island in his latest Transformers movie. And now Joss Whedon seems to have been raiding John Favreau's editing suites too, but only for a trailer this time.

Here is the shot from The Avengers trailer

And one from Iron Man

They look slightly different because of some color grading and changes to the back ground but as Bleeding Cool rightly points out, check out the dust patterns and markings on the helmet and collar area. Coincidence? Not on your nelly. As if the trailer didn't have enough Iron Man they have to bring in shots from his previous movies! It's not a huge deal and chances are this shot won't even appear in teh finished film but I thought it was interesting. Thanks to Bleeding Cool for the spot.

Thanks to Lucaxmen for the Avengers banner too. And just in case by some miracle you haven't seen it yet, here is the trailer again.
