Cape. Too. Short. It could just be the angle though. I've never really liked it when they shorten his cape. It makes him go from being a dark, terrifying, creature of the night to a renegade drum major.

There are so many other good characters that DC could introduce into the animated medium. They need to use that medium to create interest in some of the other characters to gauge the potential for a feature film. Just don't do anything like that Spectre animated short. That was just awful.

This statue is too perfect, shouldn´t be so muscle defined.

I will watch as i did with all their other animated movies..BTW EMERALD KNIGHTS was AWESOME!!!.but yeah they should do other characters than Batman

@loki668: They tried but they didn't sell, Superman sells only in team-up with Batman, The JL ones sell but because they have Batman in them.
It seems that every non Batman DC character, regardless of its own value, is automatically discarded by the general public.

I agree with you, Marvel72. I'm excited about this Batman story, but lets get away from Batman for awhile, Mr. Timm. Kingdom Come and a Flash animated movie would be great, but I'm still keen on seeing something done with Green Arrow or how about Martian Manhunter and the fall of his race. Maybe something outside of the Justice League norm and go with a full length movie on Shazam instead of the "mini-movie" we got a year or so ago.

have you even read batman year one? It isn't like adam west at all..

If you watch the sneak peek from the GL Emerald Knights Movie, you'll see its very much based in a kinda grim world, and i think this statue looks like just like Mazzucchelli's original art.

I almost did a spit take when I saw the cowl, for a second there, I thought it looked like a more "serious" look of Adam West's Batman costume. The bat ears are extremely short.

ME WANT! I have the GL First Flight statue and it's awesome. Would look great next to it. And I also vote for the next DCU animated film to be the Sinestro Corps War or Blackest Night! Would die a happy man

Marvel72: agreed about wanting to see the Flash or Kingdom Come as animated movies. I'm also still holding out hope for The Judas Contract. Or what was that story when Prometheus first fought the JLA? Name's on the tip of my tongue... THAT was greatness!

Plasticman: a Shazam movie would also be a great idea.

I will definitely be buying Year One when it comes out. Great story, and this looks like a fine adaptation of it.
