Warner Brothers recently released a press release for The Dark Knight Rises stating that some of the shooting will take place in Scotland. Sources tell the Daily Record that filming will take place in Glasgow, and that the city will be one of multiple cities that will act as Gotham City in the film.

Says the source to The Daily Record:

"He plans to use various cities to provide a mash-up of what Gotham will look like. Glasgow was location-scouted for the last film Dark Knight, though in the end it wasn't used. This time, Chris already has several scenes in mind. The city centre architecture is hugely impressive. But he will be filming in secret."

The Dark Knight Rises will be released on July 20, 2012
