Is this our first look at Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker?
Director Todd Philips has shared some brief test footage of the actor in full clown makeup, but we're not sure if this represents Arthur Fleck's final transformation into the iconic Batman villain.
If this how The Clown Prince of Crime will be depicted in the movie, it would certainly be a creepy and original (although Heath Ledger also went the makeup route in The Dark Knight) take on the character, but we're not sure it'd sit very well with fans.
Still, this video is brilliantly put together and serves as a very smart first teaser of sorts for The Joker's origin story. Check it out, and let us know what you think in the comments.
